I see this reference more and more often and find it irritating.
When someone's fixating on something or griping endlessly, people say, "Let it go, let it go...just like Elsa."
That's not what the song means! Elsa sings "Let It Go" to express her realization that after years of being forced to repress her ability to freeze things at will, she's now a queen and can use that power to fulfill her innate self.
It's a song about female self-awareness and empowerment and not one meaning, "Just quit obsessing about this and relax. It's not that big an issue."
