I don't want to waste my money on places that I can't justify the costs. I have learned in my past Disney Trips, that doing a sit-down meal once a day, is Important to me. So with that saying, I am not going to "worry" but I will go over my plans and change as I think I need to. I like to have my list of places that I will be going to for my trip already completed even before I travel to Disney on my departure day.

Thank you Cindy for your reassurance. But I do plan my meals around my vacation and have done this for quite a long time even with my solo trips too. It works out pretty good too!
You’re welcome. I hope all your plans work out for everybody. It’s no fun to have to fret about your plans. Enjoy! 😊

Putting on my Chief Pixie ears and wings and stepping in here. Please keep posts on the subject the original poster posted about which is whether or not you've noticed the price of table service meals having gone up.

Yikes, some of those prices do seem to have soared. Sadly, this seems to be the way of everything at Disney right now. It's very sad, as I can see a lot of people being priced out of the market.

There are some eateries in the resorts on Hotel Plaza Boulevard that may be more reasonably priced. The Hilton has a Benihana and Italian Restaurant. There are others in the Hilton Double Tree, B Resort and Hilton Palace among others. They are just a few minutes walking from Disney Springs. Just a suggestion.

There's a pretty good Perkins a short distance from that Doubletree. Has real world prices, too. 🙂

Some other chain restaurants nearby, although we only ate at the Perkins so don't know if others are any good.

None would be terribly far from DS for anyone prepared to hike it from there. Roughly a couple miles if I recall accurately.

We pretty much stopped going to TS places a few years ago. What you pay no longer matchs what you get in our opinion. We have very short trips due to costs anyway, so we just do CS, which also saves us time, and find ones that have more interesting choices than burgers. Also we stay offsite with a car, so we do have offsite options.

I’ve noticed it but just chalk it up to that’s the way the world works. We usually only do 1 dinner and 1 character breakfast at most. Mind you my DS only eats bacon at the breakfast and at 16to I’m paying usually $50 for...bacon. But he gets so damn excited to take pics with the characters it’s worth every penny, to me.
It can see how it would be hard to justify paying so much more but for us we hardly do TS meals.

We usually only do a couple of Table Service meals when we go. We had free dining last time so we lived it up. I think the bill at Ohana was around $250 for the four of us. Nice that I only had to pay the tip on it. I think on future trips we will probably stick to more counter service meals. We always have a car so I sometimes pickup food from the outside, When we stayed at OKW I picked up Giordanos pizza one night. For about $40 I fed four of us with leftovers for later. That is a big benefit of staying at OKW and SSR is the close proximity to the restaurants on 535.

We've noticed that also which is why we have tried to do more counter service at dinners. The counter service prices have gone up a lot too but the bill is a lot cheaper than most table service places.
