  • Mask at table? What mask?

Turns out I was all worried for nothing about that Disney rule that masks are to be worn for indoor dining when not actively eating or drinking.

As most of us know from experience, Disney rules for many things are gentle hints rarely enforced.

This is the current status (Nov. 2021) of mask wearing at indoor tables. People walk into the restaurant pretty much all masked, remove masks upon being seated, and replace them only when getting up for some reason.

That’s our calculated risk along with virtually everyone else’s. YMMV: Your mileage may vary.

This was exactly what we experienced in September. On to enter, exit, and wander, off at the table.

That seems to be very appropriate and logical.

Are they spacing out the tables at all?
Just curious. We are going in February...and I understand, things are likely to change by then.

Nope, not a bit. Packing people in as ever.

For instance, to get Drew’s powerchair through LTT to our table, four or five people were asked by the CM escorting us to scoot closer to the table.

Which is weird, IMO, when we encountered several attraction CMs who wouldn’t let people into shows like Laugh Floor until you put on a mask. We couldn’t even go into Hall of Presidents to look at the exhibits in the lobby without masking up.

How ‘zactly is eating and talking in a restaurant as loud as those get safer than sitting unmasked watching a show and laughing?

I have a cynical theory—which one brings in more $$$?
