Turns out I was all worried for nothing about that Disney rule that masks are to be worn for indoor dining when not actively eating or drinking.
As most of us know from experience, Disney rules for many things are gentle hints rarely enforced.
This is the current status (Nov. 2021) of mask wearing at indoor tables. People walk into the restaurant pretty much all masked, remove masks upon being seated, and replace them only when getting up for some reason.
That’s our calculated risk along with virtually everyone else’s. YMMV: Your mileage may vary.
