  • One night only

We have our 30th wedding anniversary next year and we are cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. We fly into Orlando with 2 nights at the grand Floridian before driving to Vero beach and then fort lauderdale

so we have time for 1 dinner and I’m having huge difficulty choosing a restaurant. No park tickets so resort of Disney springs only

suggestions please of your favourite dining spots no idea where to choose

Are you wanting a celebration dinner or merely good food and atmosphere?

The former--California Grill without a doubt. Great food unless the current prix fixe menu doesn't suit. Ask for one of Beckey's tables. She is a marvelous server--attentive, friendly but never too much of either, IMO.

For a good meal in a lowkey atmosphere--GF Cafe. It's cozy with some creative dishes, easy to get there when staying at GF and generally easy to get an ADR.
Alternative for a more elaborate meal but also casual atmosphere--Citricos.

We may be the exception based on reviews elsewhere, but we weren't fond of Steakhouse 71 in the CR. It's hideously noisy when at all crowded. The food was okay but not terrific at dinner. Much better for an early breakfast.

I was going to suggest the California Grill as well. Admittedly we haven't been for five years now, but judging by the fact it's still a hard to snag reservation, I'm guessing it's still the same high quality.

Calfornia grill was probably my first thought my second was Narcooses. However, Narcooses is closed, I'm not a fan of the new Prix fixe menu at the Grand and watching Disney dining there are not a lot of tables available to book 60 days out.

So we have decided to Try Bluezoo at the Dolphin and see what that is like. They have my favorite dessert Chocolate lava cake,

Best bit is i don't need to book it at 60 days, and I don't need a credit card to book it I was able to book today through opentable.

I'm glad you got bluezoo. I hear you about there being very little to book at 60 days out. I'm just hoping there are a lot more options when it comes to our turn to book next month...

I think the system is faulty at the moment. Only about 8-10 restaurants pop up 60 days out. I refuse to believe it’s that busy

I've seen that few options before sadly. Are you selecting a time or dinner? The latter usually gives more options.

What’s happening, I’ve seen said elsewhere, is the system is allowing multiple ADRs.

Used to be, you’d be prompted did you want to replace an existing ADR.

So, assuming this isn’t a tidy but incorrect explanation, people may be doing that old trick of holding multiples until they decide which they want.

I suspect there’s still a lot of “revenge travel”, too. I see quite a lot of posts elsewhere saying they’ve not been since before covid.

If that's the case, Disney need to change the system so that you can't hold multiple reservations - that's completely unfair on the rest of us. I may try that out for our stay (once I book all the things I want) just to see if the system lets you do it. Oh and if it does, I'll be returning the additional ADR straight into the system...

Totally agree!!!!!!!!!! One ressie at a time, people!!!
I don't understand why people think this is okay.
Cheryl - I am with you! I would never do this, but it would be interesting to see if it is allowed.
