  • Candlelight Processional Dining Packages

I know I am among some like-minded friends here, but this Candlelight Processional dining situation is driving me nuts. Our ADR date is October 12, but from what I see of last year’s CP dining packages, they weren’t even offered at all until October 26! So, on the 12th, I shouldn’t book anything at all for that CP evening?? I just have to wait until they release those packages?? The very idea of that is making me want to grind my teeth! Do I just have to calm down and bear it until near the end of October? I’ll need to find something else to occupy my time!

I have absolutely no glimmer of a clue. Quite frankly, I feel like I no longer know how to plan for Disney World. Luckily for me, I'm not going during the holidays and even if I was I'd have no interest in the Candlelight Processional.

Deep breaths. You're merely experiencing WDW planner's panic: MUST Have All ADRs In Place subdivision. 😉

FWF will be in full swing then. Plenty of options from its kiosks for enough to keep you going if it comes to that.

In fact, that'd be my game plan anyway for a special event in Epcot then. Just enough food to take the edge off, and then getting a bigger QS meal afterward if need be.

As nutty as service can be with short-staffing, no way to be assured you'd be seated early enough you didn't have to shovel in food and dash to CP unless you booked a crazy early ADR.
F&W will be over by the time we arrive. We begin our holiday trip December 11. Our Epcot/CP date is December 15. I just want to make my ADR so I get a seat!

DUH! I was thinking October, obviously, even though I know CP isn't going THAT early in the year.

I'm going to petition the Universe for a restart of my day. I'm definitely not fully functional. <forehead slap>

You are right, however, about my need to breathe deeply.

Our ADR date is October 2, so we are in the same spot as you. When we went the first week of December before, I went ahead and booked Rose & Crown for the night we wanted the Candlelight Processional. Then I just modify when the nights opened up.

What Cam said. Choose something as a placeholder and modify the ADR when packages are released.

A CM once told us to be sure to modify, not cancel, in an instance like this--where you want something else but can't get it now. He said that remaining in the system and modifying keeps your place in a sense. You aren't thrown back into the frenzy of people trying to get in to start.

I'm not sure how that works exactly (and suspect it was only a "feel better"), given how wonderfully well Disney tech works. But, who knows?

Okay, so I can book and then modify to the CP package? That would make my planning self feel better.

Hopefully, this will still work as we did this back in 2019, and there have been so many changes since then.

Oh, I am painfully aware of that, too. I’ve read several sources supposing an initial announcement of mid October, but maybe not finalized until November. I just chose a date and will hope my narrator is a winner.

All the information is now up on the WDW website, including dates, narrators, and dining locations. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en...-processional/
Reservations open up on October 6 and can be made 60 days prior to your trip. That portion is currently not available on the website.

Thanks so much, Cam! I was just thinking today that I needed to check the website. Then I got busy at work, and it had slipped my mind this evening. I am thrilled that we got Neil Patrick Harris as our narrator! I hope to book Biergarten for the dining package.

Wow, that's one of the strongest line-ups I've seen of narrators.

Enjoying some relaxation time on the Transatlantic cruise on the Disney Magic - I'm Cheryl and with my husband Mark, we love visiting Disney and exploring the world...

We thought the same thing, but Joel was just over the moon to get NPH. When I asked him who his top choice would be, he was it. We are truly excited. Plus, it’s our last park day, so this is how we will end. So excited!

We had Neil Patrick Harris back in December 2019, and he was fantastic. Our options are Isabella Rossellini who I am sure will be good. Our other possible date is TBA.
